| On Monday, the San Jose Poetry Slam Is Featuring My Boyfriend! |

My friends, riding high off of the success of San Jose’s Battle of the Bay (the place was packed, and the poetry and the weather were HOT!), we’re excited to bring you another awesome show. This Monday, July 14th, while the San Jose Youth Team is on the plane to Washington DC to compete in the Brave New Voices competition, the San Jose Poetry Slam will be facilitating amazing poetry of our own.
The Mighty Mike McGee will once again be hosting; the beer (brought to you by our kind-hearted sponsor Faultline Brewery), wine, and soda will be thirst quenching; the snacks will be feeding the belly; and Chris Bundy’s poetry feature, will be feeding your soul.
Chris Bundy is the co-slammaster of this here poetry slam. But he wears many hats. One of them is of a poet who has been to Nationals on several teams (Palo Alto, Modesto, San Jose). His poetry can be tongue and cheek, but it can also rip your tongue out of your mouth as you are left speechless by his rhythmic undulating verses.

I just started my own facebook (as you know), but haven't made one for the slam yet. I probably will eventually. What do you mean what kind of schedule? Do you mean when are the slams? If so, we are second Tuesday of the month. | |
